52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks: Week 2
What is genealogy without a little challenge? Two ways that you might interpret this prompt is to share an ancestor who was a challenge to find or an ancestor who faced his or her own challenges.
EDITED TO ADD
- I have had this open all weekend, it’s now Tuesday and I am still at a loss with this one.. It has been a Challenge to write. This is basically all I have.
- It’s now Thursday and another Prompt has been released. So I am going to hit publish and come back to this at a later time.
I would say the hardest person that I have had to find would be my Great Grandfather Robert Stevenson. I am still working on that side of the family but it hasn’t been without challenges.
Robert was my Grandmother Lillian’s Father. I know virtually NOTHING / 0 / Zilch about him.
Robert E. Stevenson 1894 – 1954 Married Charlotte Midson 1893 – 1981 (Charlotte Stephenson then Charlotte Perry) is Buried in Creswick Cemetery with her second husband (I have written a few times about Charlotte). They had 4 children together – Edna, Edward, Lillian, William.
This is pretty much the extent of things, I don’t even know if I have seen a photo of him. So I will be putting this into my to work on basket for the foreseeable future.
