52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks: Week 43

Week 43: Cause of Death
Death is one of the certainties of life. Let’s explore causes of death this week. Do you have a relative who died in an unusual way? Perhaps you’ve found an unusual record that shows the cause of death. (One that comes to mind is a tombstone in a nearby cemetery that states that the deceased died of consumption. You don’t usually find a cause of death on a tombstone.)

I haven’t come across anything unusual. Heart Attacks and Cancer seem to be the two that crop up the most especially in the past couple of generations. My Nephew Died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) in 1999. My Brother (1969) and Niece (1999) where stillborn. I am sure somewhere along the line there has been something unusual, I just haven’t come across it.
