Daily Prompt: I Am a Rock

by michelle w.

Is it easy for you to ask for help when you need it, or do you prefer to rely only on yourself? Why? Photographers, artists, poets: show us SELF. Please note that comments are always closed on daily prompts. Pingbacks are always enabled; if you link to the prompt post on your blog, a link […]

Totally NOT…

I am on my self imposed Facebook break not because i can’t or won’t ask for help, it’s because i am and always have been one to rely on my own inner judgement.

It’s been coming for a while the hatting most people factor, and my inner child decided that instead of having an online tantrum i would exile myself to home-dom and just spend sometime concentrating on me for a little while.

So it’s all about

  • Cups of coffee
  • Herbal tea
  • Reading
  • Hot baths
  • Sleeping in the afternoon
  • Walks along the beach
  • Taking the dog for a walk
  • Perhaps a coffee date at the end of the week

Although still using my laptop (i am still blogging) and checking my phone for texts (as it’s the only way for Jack to contact me), i have sat and watched TV, and even fell asleep on the lounge yesterday for 20 minutes.

So over the coming days i will continue to rest and relax, and do my own little thing.

  1. Well at least you were able to recognise that it was time to start looking after you. Technology is a brrilliant thing, but social networks are questionable. They allow us to do so much and just makes the world a smaller inclusive place – ironically not so much outside of it – in the real world – I think it’s healthy to take a break from FB and the like for a while. Blogging can feel more productive! 🙂
